Janine Lutz, dubbed “Mama Lutz” by members of the Warfighter Community, is an American social rights activists, author, public speaker, businesswoman, philanthropist, and founder of the LCpl Janos V Lutz Live to Tell Foundation. Created in honor of her son Johnny after losing him in 2013 to Pharmaceutical Induced Suicide. Mama Lutz has turned tragedy into triumph. She is the VOICE for VETERANS and lives to advocate for the betterment of Military, First Responders, and their families. Mama Lutz fearless tackles taboo topics such as the overmedication of our veterans through her book; Live to Tell: The Consequences of Pharmaceutical-Induced Suicide and the Way Back. She has also brought national attention to the suicide epidemic among American military, veterans, and first responders as well as provided a multi-faceted solution to the problems and obstacles they face daily through Lutz Buddy Up.
Her Lutz Buddy Up Social Clubs connect hundreds of military and first responders locally, builds stronger communities, and saves countless lives daily. Mama Lutz’s programs/services have been recognized as a health resource by the DOD and Veteran’s Administration. Her Vet Connect Mobile App has been adopted by multiple law enforcement and fire municipalities gaining support from local & federal government agencies as well as attracting national media attention. She has marched on Washington, Advocated Cross-Country, and Raised her Voice at the highest levels of government and she won’t stop there! Her goal is to have a Lutz Buddy Up in every community in America to expand the ever-growing safety net for our military and first responders! She can’t do it alone but Together We Will!
